Seattle Gourmet Foods needs to fill the position of Chocolate Enrobing Specialist on our Day and Swing Shift's Monday to Thursday 10 hours per day. We are looking for candidates who want to create chocolate candy, are familiar with food safety protocols and have a love of chocolate. The primary responsibility of the Chocolate Enrobing Specialist is to operate the enrobing machine, maintain all aspects of the enrobing process, and follow all production formulas according to customer requirements.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE SKILLS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
- Confectionary industry background is a plus.
- 5+ months of production/processing experience preferred.
- Position requires an understanding of food safety, quality, and SQF fundamentals.
- Must be able to work around allergens such as tree nuts, dairy, and soy.
- Ability to read, speak, and write English. Multi-lingual is a plus.
- Mathematical aptitude to work with formulas and measures required to perform job functions described.
- The ability to work with groups of people with varying levels of education, expertise, and backgrounds.
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and/or move 50 pounds and be able to operate a pallet jack.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work safely around/with automated and semi-automated machinery.
Compensation and Benefits:
- The work schedule is Mon-Thurs (4) 10-hour shifts.
- Starting pay $20-22 /hour DOE.
